Globo have never really fitted in. That was certainly true when the renegade cell of electronically-minded musicians released their debut album Pro War in 1995, armed with just Akai samplers, drum machines and their wits. Comparisons with groups like Underworld were never quite right, and they couldn’t have been any more antithetical to the hedonistic London-centric Britpop parade that so obsessed the inkies at the time.
