The 19-track record is the German producer's first full-length release in four years

Marcel Dettmann has a new album on the way, titled My Own Shadow: Album.
Spanning 19 tracks, the record explores various strains of house, techno, electro, EBM and ambient music. It's said to be partly inspired by the German producer's own visual output outside of his music, and will be released on !K7 following two previous EPs – 2025's Approaching and 2026's Faultline – for the label.
In a statement about My Own Shadow: Album, Dettmann said: "I don’t need someone to understand the album in a particular way. I just want them to feel something. What that feeling is can be completely different for everyone."
